Originally brothers Garry and Richard Benko established Benko Pet Foods over 20 years ago. With a deep experience in the meat business, they recognized the opportunity to use their expertise to service the pet industry with natural fresh dog treats. From the start, and due to the fresh nature of its product line, Benko Pet Foods provided products to retail stores through direct sales and delivery. The brothers also introduced their products and began establishing their brand at the annual Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council (PIJAC) show in Toronto. As the company began to build a stellar reputation for fresh, natural, healthy dog treats, the list of retail customers has grown as the business has consistently evolved and flourished since then.
